According to KNO correspondent, the members of the group staged a protest and were demanding fast track probe into the killing of right wing organisation RSS's leader Chandarkant Sharma. SDS had called for a band against what they termed as ‘callous attitude of government' in probing the killing of the RSS and his PSO. Reports said that the protesters assembled at Char Chinar area and raised slogans against the investigation agencies for 'lackadaisical approach in the case'. "Protests turned violent and they barged inside the DC's office and ransacked the ground floor of the office. They damaged almost everything there," they said. Police and paramilitary personnel were rushed to the spot to control the protests and to bring the situation under control. They have also damaged the vehicles outside the office.
